Persimmon plans homes on former Corus land

Housebuilder Persimmon Homes has submitted a full planning application to Allerdale council for a new development on the old Corus site in Workington, Cumbria.

The application includes plans for 119 dwellings in a mix of one and two bedroom apartments, plus two and three bedroom homes.

Mark Cook, managing director, Persimmon Homes Lancashire, based in Lancaster, said: "This site is a prime location for development, with the opportunity for much needed new housing to be delivered and so we eagerly await the decision from the local authority."
