Pennine doubles space at Kingmoor

Occupier Pennine Flooring has moved into a 7,500 sq ft unit on the Kingmoor Park Enterprise Zone near Carlisle.

Whilst the company’s main base is in Heywood, Pennine has operated within Cumbria for more than 30 years and also has a base in Deeside.

The company originally moved to Kingmoor Park South in 2004 when, requiring more storage space, it signed terms on a 3,750 sqft warehouse. Pennine bought its new space, Unit J at Kingmoor Park Central, in summer 2018 and has fitted it out to its own specification, including a trade counter, staff offices, showroom and racking.

Damian Robinshaw, operations and HR manager said: “We are delighted to have completed a cross site move in an expansion that will ensure our operation is able to be as streamlined as possible meaning that we can continue to deliver the quality service that our customers expect.”

Kingmoor Park is home to more than 200 businesses and the employment figure is approaching 2,500.  This year Kingmoor Park will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a variety of events to be held over spring and summer.

Neil McIntyre, Kingmoor Properties’ managing director said: “Our focus has always been on how we can adapt to meet the needs of businesses on site and in Carlisle. This continues to be our main priority as we prepare to celebrate our 20th anniversary and look forward to the next 20 years.”
