Peel remodels shopping park

Peel Group has announced a number of new signings at the Peel Centre in Stockport.

Sofa retailer DFS will open a 22,500 sq ft store on Saturday 25 August at the start of the bank holiday weekend.

Costa Coffee is to occupy a new 1,500 sq ft unit fronting the park, which is under construction and will open before Christmas.

Currys and PC World have combined their existing units to create a new format store of 25,500 sq ft.

Kevin Keigher, property manager of Peel, said: "Peel continues to focus on the development of the retail park and emphasise its strength as a retail destination. All of the stores offer customers a wide range of shopping choices which will complement our existing tenants greatly. We are sure DFS, Harveys, PC World and Currys and Costa Coffee will trade extremely well here."

Free car parking would attract more customers, or at least revert to years ago when parking fee was refunded if you made a purchase at one of the shops in the Peel area.
