Peel Park Quarter tops out

Campus Living Villages has reached the highest point of construction and is on schedule at Peel Park Quarter, its £81m luxury student accommodation development at the University of Salford's main campus.

The eight-storey block is being built and managed by the University of Salford and Salford Village Limited, a consortium made up of Campus Living Villages, construction firm GRAHAM Construction and investors Equitix and Kier Project Investment.

Due to open in September, the Sheppard Robson-designed scheme comprises 1,367 en-suite student bedrooms, alongside communal social spaces with games facilities, lounges, an on-site cinema, gym, basketball court and joint-designed kitchens.

Other amenities include professional meeting spaces, equipped with AV facilities.

Campus Living Villages is the incumbent provider of student accommodation at the University of Salford and has been operating residences John Lester, Eddie Colman and Bramall Court since 2008.

Sean McKeown, commercial director at Campus Living Villages, said: "The new Peel Park Quarter campus marks an important stage in the University of Salford's development plan and further strengthens Campus Living Villages' commitment to delivering global leading accommodation with university partners. As a global provider we have a highly experienced team that understands how to deliver the best in student residences to a highly international market, and we look forward to further developments with the University of Salford, further enhancing the student experience for our customers."
