Peel lets Quays office to WYG

Property and engineering consultants White Young Green has signed a 10-year lease on 10,500 sq ft at Quay West in the Quays.

The Manchester office of WYG is relocating from Clippers Quay to Quay West on the Trafford side of the Quays alongside the Imperial War Museum North.

Anthony Fuller, director of WYG's Manchester office, said: "We are focused on providing high quality, high value services to our client and it's important for us to be in the most effective and efficient location.

"Quay West is a striking bronze curtain glazed building and widely regarded as one of the Quay's most iconic landmarks. We have been established in Manchester for over 20 years and this new 10 year lease demonstrates our commitment to this area."

WYG's advisor, Rupert Barron, director of Colliers CRE Manchester, said: "This deal represents outstanding value for money for WYG. The reception and common parts at Quay West have recently been refurbished and the building offers a high level of specification and is in an excellent location beside the Imperial War Museum North and across the water from MediaCityUK."

Edwards & Co and WHR are letting agents on Quay West.

Amazing. The Bank now owns 60% of the company, reducing their net debt from 95 million(fullish spending on aquisitions etc & then caught out by the recession) by half & WYG are still spending. If they’d breached their Banking covenant earlier in the year it would be bye bye WYG but the Bank saved them.
