Peacocks picks Hill Dickinson to advise on store acquisition

Law firm Hill Dickinson LLP has been instructed to represent clothing retailer the Peacock Group and its subsidiary companies on the acquisition of 40 new stores throughout the UK.

Steve Ellard, head of legal services at Peacocks, said: "The acquisition of these stores is highly significant for the company. A secret of our success is that we have a proven ability to react quickly to fashion trends and to the changing market. This approach is also reflected in our new store acquisition programme."

Peacocks is continuing to thrive in the current economic climate, bucking the trend on today's high street and providing an offering that is clearly in demand, as well as much-needed jobs for Britain's workforce.

Martyn McDonald, partner at Hill Dickinson said: "Hill Dickinson's property team has worked with the Peacock Group plc for eight years and acted for the company in its acquisition of 30 stores last year. We are very much looking forward to continuing to work with Peacocks and the fact that we have been appointed to acquire these additional stores is testament to our highly successful working relationship."
