Partner promotion for property litigation specialist

Manchester-based solicitor Daniel Stern has been promoted to partner and head of the property litigation team at Slater Heelis.

Stern joined Slater Heelis in 2016, having previously worked at Kuits and Turner Parkinson.

The role of head of property litigation is a newly-created position and will see Stern manage the team across Slater Heelis’ four offices in Manchester and Cheshire, overseeing increased demand from commercial and residential property clients involved in contentious matters.

He said: “Since setting up our property litigation team we have grown at an exceptional rate, driven by the evolving needs of both our existing clients and new clients wanting an alternative to the traditional London and larger regional law firms. We have seen growth coming from clients attracted from national medium size firms, mostly by referral.

“The changing nature of the property environment in recent years, especially in the retail sector, has seen an increasing demand for litigation services that resolve property related disputes quickly and robustly in the most cost efficient means possible.

“We have also seen higher demand over the past two years from property clients wanting procedures and processes in place to specifically manage and avoid potentially litigious landlord/tenant situations arising.”

Slater Heelis has offices in Manchester city centre, Sale and Timperley.
