Park Lane’s Stamford Quarter phase two 80% let

Park Lane Estates' retail scheme in Altrincham town centre will see its newest tenant begin trading this week when H&M opens a 20,000 sq ft unit on Thursday.

The developer said the second phase, which opened last autumn and totals 70,000 sq ft, is now 80% let and deals are still being done despite the economic crisis.

River Island has also committed to a new upgraded store within the second phase. Boots opened a 21,000 sq ft unit in March, relocating from an existing unit. A new 700-space car park also opened in March.

Phase One opened in 2007 with Desire by Debenhams, Next, Waterstones and Orange and is fully let.

The overall £40m scheme will create 146,000 sq ft of new retail space and 203,000 sq ft of refurbished space.

The 75,000 sq ft phase three will comprise restaurants, a 30,000 sq ft anchor store, five high street retail units and a cafe area.

Tushingham Moore and Lunson Mitchenall are letting agents.
