Paragon Manchester gets new design chief

Fit-out specialist Paragon Interiors Group has appointed Ian Matthews to head design across its offices in Manchester and Nottingham.

Matthews joins Paragon Group from PDM International where he was a design director at the firm's Hong Kong offices for three years, and worked with corporate clients such as Barclays Capital, The Bank of New York and Credit Suisse.

The business, owned by Nottingham-based Alan Hardy, has also appointed Alex Rhodes as a relationship manager at its Manchester office to oversee the firm's North West client base.

She was previously a general manager at Manchester's St James' Club.

Mike McKeown, sales director and head of Paragon Manchester said: "We have been looking to recruit for both these positions for a while, as the company is experiencing a period of growth following a number of significant wins this year.

"Ian's experience working with high profile names, as well as projects ranging from complete new-builds to high quality fit-outs, will help to drive the business forward, while continuing to raise the bar when it comes to creating innovative workspace design."
