Paragon hires projects director

Manchester-based Paragon Building Consultancy has appointed Peter McIlhagger from Mace as its director of projects.

McIlhagger has worked on a number of high-profile schemes including ITV Coronation Street, Islington Wharf, Crosby’s Green Quarter and First Street.

He will lead Paragon’s regional project management team and will work closely with Paragon’s London projects team to deliver expertise for key clients and major projects nationwide.

The independent building and project consultancy, which has its head office in London, established the Manchester office in May this year and has a growing portfolio of both existing and projected work.

Clients include Rockspring, LJ Capital, Magnus, Karlin and LaSalle. Paragon is also retained by Legal & General at the New Bailey office development.

John Munday, managing director of Paragon, said: “It has been less than three months since we opened in Manchester, our first regional office outside of London, and we have been incredibly busy with projects from both existing clients and new ones. Peter’s appointment is part of ongoing strategy and he will play an integral role in the continued growth of the company.”
