PAR Group expands in Chorley

Engineering company PAR Group is moving its headquarters from Bamber Bridge to Chorley, Lancashire.

PAR Group, which specialises in rubber and plastics engineering, is expanding from its current 9,000 sq ft base at Club Street in Bamber Bridge, to a 28,500 sq ft office on Drumhead Road, Chorley.

PAR Group was founded in 1981 and now employs 35 people over two sites, in Chorley and Manchester, as well as sales teams in Yorkshire and the North East.

The move is due to be completed by the end of October following a period of refurbishment.

Keith Chambers, managing director of PAR Group, said: "This is a tough environment to operate in, but we find ourselves in a fortunate position where we must move to larger premises in order to fully service the requirements of our existing customer base. Our order book is very strong and we have a great workforce behind us. This move will really help to secure our future."

Simon England, a solicitor in the commercial property department at Blackburn-based law firm Napthens, advised the company on the move.
