The asset manager has agreed to lease a 6,500 sq ft office at the Chester business park to property consultancy the Solomon Group.
The multidisciplinary advisor is relocating from a 3,000 sq ft unit at The Quadrant on Chester West Employment Park to the second floor of the three-storey building at Knight’s Court.
Solomon Group is to occupy the space on a five-year lease, under the deal.
Located on Weaver Street, Knight’s Court provides 20,000 sq ft of modern, open-plan office accommodation.
The property has been refurbished by Solomon Group and offers car parking to the rear of the building. This latest deal leaves 13,500 sq ft available to let across the first and ground floor.
Panacea Properties, which is chaired by by JCB heir Jo Bamford, was represented by joint property agents Legal Owen and CBRE in the deal and Solomon Group was unrepresented.
Will Sadler, director at Legat Owen, which is also the managing agent for the building, said: “Knight’s Court is in a highly prominent position offering extensive views across the Chester Racecourse.
“The building is a stone’s throw from all of the city’s amenities, which has proved to be key in the occupier’s decision to move.”
Neil Patten, director at Panacea Properties, added: “Knight’s Court has been in our portfolio since it was built in 2000 and occupied by Lloyds Banking Group on a long-term lease.
“Following Lloyds’ departure, we took the decision to fully refurbish the property and are pleased to have secured Solomon Group, a thriving, Chester-based business.”
Meanwhile, Andrew Ward, managing director of Solomon Group, said the expansion into larger offices is part of a wider growth strategy the group is pursuing.
