PAG signs ice rink operator
Developer and investor Property Alliance Group has let the remaining unit at Jubilee Leisure Park in Cleveleys town centre, Lancashire.
Sub Zero Leisure, an international ice rink operator and concept innovator behind the ITV television series Dancing On Ice venue, is to open its first permanent ice rink training and entertainment facility alongside the park's current occupiers, Pizza Hut and Vue Cinema, on the promenade.
The company has agreed on a ten year lease for an undisclosed sum on a 14,000 sq ft unit.
Sub Zero directors and ex-professional ice skaters said the facility will open in March to provide an ice-skating and ice hockey teaching academy.
The unit will also be home to a new Lancashire ice hockey team and entertainment facility with cafe and stadium seating. Russells Construction has installed a mezzanine floor for the stadium seating.
Jonathan Mather, director at Property Alliance Group, said: "In choosing Jubilee Leisure Park for its fantastic new facility, Sub Zero has demonstrated the demand for a family attraction in Cleveleys town centre. Vue Cinemas, already receives 300,000 visitors a year and together with family-favourite restaurant, Pizza Hut, the park will be a thriving destination. The investment in Cleveleys Promenade opposite our scheme can only ensure that Jubilee Leisure Park will be a great success for our new tenant."
