Owen joins Worthington in agency set-up
Andrew Owen, director and head of business premises at Mason Owen, has resigned to join Mark Worthington in establishing a new Liverpool commercial agency.
Last week it emerged that Worthington, director of office agency at CBRE in Manchester, had handed in his notice in order to set up his own consultancy in Liverpool, where he was previously based for 15 years until his move to Manchester last August.
Owen has worked at Mason Owen for the majority of his property career after joining the company in 1997. He specialises in office and industrial agency and valuations.
Major deals that Owen has advised on include Liverpool FC's acquisition of a 30,000 sq ft city centre office in 20 Chapel Street.
Owen is expected to leave Mason Owen before the summer.
The Liverpool office agency market includes the regional offices of national consultancies CBRE, Colliers and Bilfinger GVA. In terms of independent practices, there have been no new players in the city since Mason & Partners and Keppie Massie were founded in the 1990s.
All parties declined to comment.
Congratulations Andy and Worthy! Good luck with the new venture.

Wow! Only just seen this. will be interesting to see if 1. CBRE shut up shop in Liverpool and retract everyone back to Manchester as was previously planned and 2. If Mason Owen ever do business space again?
