Orbit signs Superbowl to St Helens

Orbit Developments has exchanged contracts with Superbowl UK for a tenpin bowling alley and family entertainment complex to open at Linkway West in St Helens, in spring 2018.

The new 24,000 sq ft facility will provide 12 tenpin bowling lanes, a Crazy Club soft play centre, a Ninja Warrior trampoline-style assault course, amusement arcade along with a diner and lounge sports bar.

In addition to the family entertainment complex, the new development will include ground floor retail and restaurant space totalling 19,000 sq ft.

An Aldi superstore and Costa Coffee drive-thru is already in operation at the location, with Tex-Mex restaurant Chiquito confirmed to open at Linkway West later this year.

Paul Hubball, director at Orbit Developments, said: “Since the acquisition of the site in 2012, Orbit Developments have worked closely with the local authority to deliver a family friendly scheme which will have a positive impact on the local area.”

“We felt it was important to get a mix of high quality brands that would complement one another so we invested a lot of time and money to ensure the arrival of Costa Coffee, Aldi, Chiquito and now Superbowl UK at Linkway West, St Helens.”
