Orbit signs James Walker in Crewe

Orbit Developments has let 9,270 sq ft at Gawsworth House in Crewe Business Park to manufacturing company James Walker on a 10-year lease.

James Walker, a supplier of fluid sealing products to industry, will relocate shortly from their two-storey, self-contained building at No.1 Millennium Gate to Orbit's adjacent building Gawsworth House.

Since the departure of previous tenant Focus DIY in October 2011, Orbit Developments has refurbished the reception, stairwells and office accommodation. More than £300,000 was spent and was followed by the ground floor being fully let to Crystal Legal Services and CLM Associates.

Paul McLeman, leasing director at Orbit Developments, said: "We have seen a real demand for Gawsworth House since the refurbishment programme completed in 2012. The building offers high quality, value for money office space in a professional business park environment. We expect to see continued interest in the remaining space in this building."

Allison Christou, project manager at James Walker, said: "The second floor at Gawsworth House will allow us to run our business across one floor; a more effective working environment for our operations."

Lamonts and Altus Edwin Hill acted on behalf of Orbit Developments. Lambert Smith Hampton advised James Walker. The quoting rent is £12.50/sq ft.
