One Vision plans two further tower makeovers

One Vision Housing is continuing its revamp of tower blocks in Merseyside with plans to spend between £10m and £15m on Stanley House and Mersey House in Bootle.

Earlier this month, One Vision announced the appointment of contract Bramall to refurbish three tower blocks in Seaforth, near Bootle.

One Vision has now published the tender document for the next two towers. Both are due to exceed decent homes standard, with a requirement that the blocks achieve a minimum three-star rating of the code for sustainable homes and a minimum standard of Eco Homes 'good' rating.

The successful contractor will carry out internal and external refurbishment, site works, landscaping, drainage work and undertake design and build.

Cost managers Turner & Townsend and structural engineer Sutcliffe advise One Vision Housing.

OVH has recently (2014.01.30) notified residents of its decision to DEMOLISH Mersey House. Meanwhile there has been little or no activity visible at Stanley House since November 2013. (The construction firm involved, has, however, been busy with finishing a number of 2 and 3 bedroom homes near Coffee House Bridge, by Merton Road, Bootle.)
