One Vision nears start on first Chorley project

One Vision Housing has been granted permission to build 51 affordable homes in Euxton, in partnership with Mulbury.

Construction will start this summer on a range of two, three and four bedroom homes on the land between Wigan Road, Dunrobin Drive and the River Yarrow, and will be available for affordable rent and shared ownership. The scheme is due to complete autumn 2020.

The five-acre site sits next to railway lines and is currently used for agriculture; Redrow was previously attached as developer and secured planning permission for 37 houses, but the scheme never came forward.

Chorley Council’s development control committee approved the latest planning application at the end of last month.

Helen Reddington, head of sales at One Vision Housing, said: “This is our first development in Chorley and we are excited to bring a mix of house types and tenure to provide opportunities that will help local people to access well designed new homes, in an area where high house prices and rents can make it difficult to find an affordable home. We are also thrilled to be working again with Mulbury Homes to continue our successful partnership to provide quality homes in the North West.”
