Oldham office plans approved

Developer Portcullis has achieved planning consent from Oldham council for the initial phase of a new office development on a former Ferranti site in Hollinwood.

The 16,000 sq ft first phase, next to Hollinwood Train Station and junction 22 of the M60 motorway, will comprise five units from 3,000 sq ft to 4,000 sq ft and will be available to buy or to lease.

David Nuttall of Nolan Redshaw, who advised Portcullis on the scheme, said: "This site ticks all the boxes for a modern office location: high quality new build accommodation, next to the motorway junction and surrounding motorway networks, with fantastic access to the train networks and major bus routes. We are confident that phase one, will pave the way for future phases for the scheme and are proud, as are Portcullis, to be at the forefront of the regeneration of the Hollinwood area."

A contractor will be appointed shortly on a 12-month build programme.
