Oldham M&S plans in

A planning application has been submitted by architects the Harris Partnership for the Prince's Gate development anchored by Marks & Spencer at Oldham Mumps on behalf of the council.

The planning application proposes the demolition of local buildings and development of 109 apartments, 150,000 sq ft of retail, food and leisure space including the 51,000 sq ft Marks & Spencer food and clothing store. There will also be 700 parking spaces and associated landscaping, servicing and highway improvement works.

WYG acted as the consultant development partner.

Construction is expected to start in 2016 with the opening of the new retail development, including the M&S store, set for 2017.
