Oldham HMRI relocates sea cadets

After lengthy negotiations Bury-based property company, Silver Street Holdings 1899, has completed the sale of 1 Yates Street in Oldham to the Oldham Unit of the Sea Cadets.

The Sea Cadets have relocated from their former Derker Annex premises, which have been the subject of a compulsory purchase order by Oldham Council as part of the Government's housing market renewal initiative.

The transaction also involved a restructure of Silver Street Holdings' head lease of the building with landlord Oldham Council to pave the way for the Sea Cadet's use of the property.

Silver Street Holdings 1899 was advised by Sarah Bonwick of Altrincham property firm Land Law LLP and by Bury chartered surveyors, Summermere. The Sea Cadets were advised by Molesworths Bright Clegg of Rochdale.
