OFR hires take Manchester team to 14
Fire engineering business OFR Consultants has added eight team members to its office at Jactin House, part of a recruitment drive that has increased headcount nationally by 24 over three months.
The spate of hires follows a late 2018 rebrand of the business, which was originally established in 2016 as the UK arm of international consultancy Olsson Fire & Risk, and means that 14 staff now operate out of Manchester.
OFR is now independent of its Australasian parent group, which was acquired in a deal by GHD in October last year.
New faces at Jactin House, in Ancoats, include associate directors in design, Richard Rankin and Chris Jones; principal fire engineer Max Rapenne and fire engineers Melanie Harris and Alex Williams. Marie Clare has joined as a project accounts assistant.
The Manchester office has also taken on two of the nine graduates hired in recent months, in Ruoxi Shi and Ieuan Rickard.

The consultancy works with clients including Argent, Google and Urban Splash, also working with sports venues the All England Tennis Club and Twickenham.
Lay, along with fellow directors Sam Liptrott, Andy Passingham and Ryan McCreadie have in three years built the business into a 50-strong, £5m turnover organisation with offices also in London, Leeds, Bath, Oxford, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
