OBI appoints non-exec chairman
Manchester-based OBI Property has appointed Adrian Sharpe, previously chief executive of Burton Foods, a $6m turnover global business, as non-executive chairman.
Sharpe is a non-executive director and board advisor at various UK companies, including mergers and acquisitions boutique Spayne Lindsay. He is also North West chairman of private advisory group Vistage International, where he leads a group of chief executives whose companies include CarLoans4U, Delamere Dairy, BCL Legal, GB Group and UPG.
Sharpe said: "OBI Property is an exciting, ambitious company with integrity, strong values and a set of dynamic outward looking teams. I look forward to the challenge of using my knowledge of a wide range of business sectors to add a new dimension to the firm which has based its success on providing an exceptional client service and integrated approach. We are already working on some exciting new avenues which will facilitate the next wave of expansion."
Will Lewis, director and co-founder of OBI Property, said: "I am thrilled Adrian has joined OBI Property as chairman. His wealth of experience and exceptional track record will be invaluable to us and to our clients. Adrian will no doubt support and enhance our innovative approach to business."
OBI Property was established in 2010 by former WHR colleagues Will Lewis, Gary Scorah and Dominic Horridge. Scorah departed in May to set up his own investment and development practice.
