NWDA to outline climate change activity at conference

The North West Development Agency will provide an update on progress against its climate change strategy at a free conference in Liverpool next month.

The Climate Change: Impact on Change event will take place at the BT Convention Centre on Thursday 6 November.

The NWDA said it will "refocus the commitment of partners to achieving the action plan's goal of a low carbon Northwest".

The conference will examine how public and private sectors are adapting their behaviour, both through choice and legislation.

Speakers will include Bryan Gray, chairman of the NWDA; Prof Michael Kelly, chief scientific adviser at the Department of Communities and Local Government; and Paul Kelly, corporate affairs director, Asda.

Speeches in the morning will be followed by a choice of afternoon sessions:

  • Employee engagement and talent development for a low carbon future
  • Adapting to climate change
  • Changing behaviour at home and on the road
  • Energy generation in a low carbon economy

The event is free to attend. To register your attendance please book online, click here.
