NWDA assets come to market

There are more than 30 assets owned by the North West Development Agency among a list of 500 sites that could be disposed of by the Department for Communities and Local Government.

The list was placed in the library of the House of Commons following a Parliamentary written question by Conservative MP Laura Sandys.

A spokesman for the NWDA said sites would transfer to other public bodies, such as the Homes & Communities Agency and local authorities, after the RDAs are abolished in 2012 but it was not yet know which would be retained and which sold. The decision over selling assets will be made by the DCLG.
