NW Fund invites eco business plans

The fledgling venture capital programme, North West Fund, is holding a briefing tonight for businesses with energy and environmental ideas to pitch for investment from a £20m pot.

The North West Fund for Energy and Environmental is managed by London-based CT Investment Partners. The fund is one of six established last year by the North West Development Agency as part of a long-awaited venture capital initiative.

The first investment by the North West Fund for Energy and Environmental completed in May, a £400,000 stake in ACAL Energy, a Runcorn-based fuel cell system developer.

The event on Thursday evening at the Centre, Birchwood Park, is aimed at small to medium sized businesses, advisors and intermediaries.

CT said the event will provide an opportunity to find out about the fund and how businesses submit an investment proposition to gain access to funding and investment.

The event will be hosted by Adam Workman, partner of CT Investment Partners, manager of the North West Fund 4 Energy & Environmental.

The event starts at 6pm and closes at 8pm.
