Nugent Care appoints agent to sell Southport plot

Liverpool-based charity Nugent Care has instructed CB Richard Ellis to sell a 9 acre plot in Southport, Merseyside.

The site comprises a number of buildings including a large detached former children's care home and is located at 417-449 Liverpool Road.

Steven Verity, director of residential property at CBRE, said: "The potential for a new and exclusive residential development on this site is huge and there is definite interest in such projects.

"With massive investment being pumped into Southport the area is really on its way up and this large, well situated, site offers an ideal opportunity for a developer wishing to take advantage of the competitive land values we are seeing within the market."

Over £100m is currently being invested in the regeneration of Southport's seafront.

Nugent Care operates care homes and specialist schools within the Merseyside area.
