Northern Trust’s self-build buyers on site

Building work has started on site at Northern Trust's private self-build estate in Farington, Leyland.

The estate is set within two acres of land overlooking Farington Park and includes a range of self-build plots accessed via a gated entrance off Stanifield Lane.

A spokesman for Northern Trust said: "We are pleased to announce that building has started following the completion of the infrastructure work on site earlier this year. We are delighted that our plans to create an exclusive development that will add to the prosperity of the Farington area are underway. Eight of the 11 plots have now been sold and we wish each purchaser every success with their house build."

Northern Trust received outline planning consent in 2010 from South Ribble Council for four different house types and a design code providing for flexible parameters for each plot.
