Nolan picked for Burnley FC team to take on Turf Moor

Paul Nolan, director of independent surveyor Nolan Redshaw, has been retained to advise Burnley Football Club on the redevelopment of its grounds, Turf Moor.

The £30m redevelopment plans have been developed to maximise off-field income and will create a new leisure area with office accommodation, to be named Burnley Business and Sporting Village.

Brendan Flood, director of Burnley FC and managing director of Modus Developments, held an event earlier this month to launch the club's plans and invited HRH's The Earl of Wessex to attend.

Nolan comments: "I am proud to be playing such a fundamental role in the development plans for the club. It was a great honour to meet The Earl, who seemed very impressed with the proposed plans.

"We have built a strong relationship with Brendan Flood and Modus over the years, working on various high profile schemes across the North West, such as the 10-acre retail development site in Oldham, known as Greenacres and the mixed-used regeneration scheme, Oceans Plaza in Rhyl."

Architect Miller Partnership, responsible for the redevelopment of Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium and the Brit Oval, is designing the scheme.

Detailed plans are expected next year.
