Nobles wins sixth health contract

Queenscourt Hospice has awarded the construction firm an £800,000 contract to build two ward extensions at its site located on Town Lane in Southport.

The 43-week project, which involves increasing the size of the bedrooms, will also include landscaping and restoration work to the rear woodland area. Work is expected to be completed by June next year.

Peter Linford, director at Nobles Construction, said: "This is the sixth health contract we've secured this year and we have another four out to tender. We're really beginning to reap the rewards of our sector experience, despite such a competitive market place, which is down to our ability to add to and enhance plans while also working within tight budgets and timescales."

Queenscourt Hospice is an independent charity that provides specialist palliative care and support services for people living with terminal illness, their carers and families. The refurbishment and improvement works was funded by charity donations and a grant from the Department of Health.
