No 1 Tithebarn building hits delays in Liverpool

The opening of the 100,000 sq ft No 1 Tithebarn building in Liverpool city centre will not go ahead as planned this week due to an appointed contractor for the project going into administration.

However, developer and investor Kenmore, advises to the ARC Property Fund which owns the building, said work is due to restart this week.

Wirral-based Felton Construction was appointed contractor for the project, but was put into administration at the start of this month.

Neil Kirkham, at Hitchcock Wright & Partners, agents for the building, said: "Feltons was originally refurbishing the reception area of the building while Ardmac was carrying out the remaining work. Ardmac will now be completing the refurbishment, with its opening pushed back to a month. The building has around 60,000 sq ft of office space."

Keppie Massie are joint agents.
