NNL relocates within Birchwood

MEPC has completed the letting of 17,000 sq ft of office space to National Nuclear Laboratory, once part of BNFL before its break-up, at Birchwood Park, Warrington.

The deal at the recently refurbished Chadwick House is MEPC largest of the year in Birchwood. NNL is moving from Hinton House, Birchwood.

The move marks the firm's independence from the now defunct BNFL, which was based at Hinton with its constituent parts since 1971.

NNL employs around 150 staff in environmental management and engineering teams and plans to recruit between 20 and 30 people over the next three years.

Birchwood Park is already home to more than 20 nuclear-related companies including Amec Nuclear, Nuvia, Rolls-Royce, Serco Assurance and UKAEA.
