NJL expands Northern offer with hires and new office

NJL Consulting has recruited three new members of staff in Manchester, and has made two senior appointments in order to establish its first office outside of the region in Leeds.

In Manchester, James Ashford has joined as a planner from Peter Brett Associates, where he specialised in the preparation of CIL studies for local authorities, and will work on strategic and residential development projects as well as advising on s106 negotiation work.

Laura Hayes has joined as a graduate from Styles & Wood, where she provided town planning support as well as technical drawing production and surveying.

Francesca Petho has taken on the role of office manager.

In Leeds, NJL has hired director Rob Crolla from Indigo Planning, and Nick Pleasant, senior planner, also from Indigo.

NJL Consulting said its decision to open a second UK office was in response to a strong programme of work secured in the Yorkshire region, as a result of the firm’s growth plans.

NJL has 16 members of staff delivering a wide range of planning consultancy services to clients with housing, retail, commercial and mixed-use schemes.
