Niveda teams up with Prestige in Liverpool

Asset manager Niveda Realty has appointed Prestige Student Living to handle operations at Bowline, its £36.6m development off Renshaw Street.

The £36.6m project, formerly billed as Renshaw Hall, lies at the edge of Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter and is the second Niveda group student scheme in the city to be delivered by Create Construction, which is aiming for completion ahead of the 2021-22 academic year.

Bowline is to comprise 47 self-contained studios and 357 en-suite cluster rooms, with communal facilities including a sky lounge, private dining room, karaoke room, cinema room, fitness studio and games area. ICA is engaged as interior designer. Prices range from £125 per week to £205 per week.

Prestige Student Living is the premium brand of student accommodation provider Homes for Students. Liverpool will be the 25th UK city the brand operates in. A marketing suite is to open in January at the site.

The site, between Oldham Street, Benson Street and Back Renshaw Street, formerly housed an ice rink. Plans were approved for a three-block scheme in 2016, but were reworked by Niveda company NR Capricornus for a fresh application in 2019 with Falconer Chester Hall as architect.

The 160-bedroom Moxy hotel that formed part of that consent is still part of Niveda’s short to medium term pipeline, the company said.
