NHS appoints North West companies to £1.6bn framework
The modular construction framework offers the potential for faster, cheaper and greener development, according to the health service.
In the North West, five companies were appointed to the framework: Wilmslow’s MTX Contracts, Manchester’s AV Danzer, Ellesmere Port’s ModuleCo Healthcare, Preston’s Collinson Construction and Wigan’s Cotaplan.
The NHS and other public sector organisations can pull from the framework to purchase, hire or lease modular building solutions. The companies listed can offer modular solutions for office space, care homes, homeless shelters, student accommodation and more, according to the NHS.
The health service said that using the framework would offer significant savings compared to purchasing the solutions directly.
The framework runs until 4 July 2023.
This marks the second time MTX has been appointed to the NHS Shared Business Services framework, according to MTX managing director David Hartley.
“The announcement is testament to the innovative solutions, bespoke and high-quality projects delivered by the team,” he said.
“2021 has already been an incredibly successful year, and this is the icing on the cake. We look forward to continuing to support the healthcare industry following what has been an extremely demanding period.”
