NHS agency seeks asbestos removal firms
The NHS North West Collaborative Commercial Agency is looking for companies which can provide asbestos management services at hospitals and other buildings used in the health sector within the region.
The agency has a member trust consisting of nearly 50 members across the North West including Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Liverpool Primary Care Trust and East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.
The NHS North West Collaborative Commercial Agency is establishing a two-year framework agreement, with the option to extend a further two years on an annual basis.
The agency wants to employ six companies on the framework and said the estimated total value of purchases for the entire duration of the framework agreement is £3m.
The NWCCA replaced the North West Collaborative Procurement Hub which over the past four years has worked with NHS trusts to maximise their purchasing power.
The NWCCA is committed to raising standards in procurement for the NHS in the region and has saved more than £90m for the health service in the past four years.
Deadline for submitting tenders is Monday 24 May at 5pm.
