Nexus strengthens Manchester team

The planning and regeneration consultancy has promoted Euan Connolly to a planner and hired Sophie Bleasdale as a graduate planner to support its growing workload.

Connolly joined the firm in 2017 as a graduate planner, and his promotion will see him take on responsibility on schemes for Countryside, Homes England and Hollins Strategic Land.

Bleasdale has joined as a graduate planner following the completion of her MSc in planning at the University of Manchester.

They are set to join senior planner Jon Penrose and associate director Heather Lindley-Clapp, who were appointed to their positions earlier in the year.

Currently, Nexus is working on schemes including the Cowley Hill Masterplan in St Helens for 1,250 homes and 52,000 sq ft of mixed-use space, and the Sale West Masterplan.

Peter Tooher, executive director, said: “We continue to benefit from a strong pipeline of work and Sophie has already demonstrated her value in helping to fulfil existing instructions. Euan’s promotion is well deserved and reflective of his efforts since joining Nexus Planning in 2017. I look forward to the positive contribution both will make to our business as their careers further develop.”
