Next linked to Winwick Quay move from Heywood

Clothing retailer Next is in talks with PPG Land over a deal at the 95,000 sq ft Calver 9 warehouse in Winwick Quay, Warrington.

Next has a requirement for up to 150,000 sq ft in the North West for a regional satellite distribution centre. Last year it completed a 1m sq ft hub in Hull.

The move to Warrington would see Next leave Segro's Heywood Distribution Park.

PPG Land is controlled by David Murray, chairman and owner of Rangers FC.

Cushman & Wakefield's London office is advising Next. King Sturge is letting agent for PPG Land. All parties declined to comment.
