New surveyor for Powell Williams

The building consultancy has appointed David Hollingsworth from the Vinden Partnership as associate in its Chester office.

Hollingsworth is a chartered building surveyor with a specialism in party wall disputes, insurance assessment and reinstatement, and contract administration. He was managing building surveyor in the Vinden Partnership's Nottingham office for seven years. Prior to that he worked at Church Lukas and Leicester City Council.

While Hollingworth is based in the North West, he will be available to provide expertise to clients serviced by the London and Birmingham teams.

Powell Williams said Hollingworth's appointment was part of its wider growth strategy, with three more surveyors expected to be hired in the next 18 months.

Andy Williams, founding partner of Powell Williams, said: "As we continue to secure significant numbers of new instructions from investment funds, asset managers and occupiers, we were particularly looking for an experienced surveyor to help strengthen the existing team.

"In David we have been fortunate to find someone who has the broad expertise to do just that while also bringing something new to the practice which allows us to offer these additional services."
