New starters at SCP

SCP Transport Consultants has hired two new staff in Manchester: John Moxham from Curtins as principal engineer in infrastructure design, Chris Rushton from JMP Consulting as transport planner.

Moxham has 20 years' experience in infrastructure design, having worked on civil engineering projects in private consultancy practices, local government and house building.

He will have responsibility for undertaking flood risk assessments within the company, in addition to the design of highway and drainage infrastructure.

Rushton began his career in 2006 at JMP and spent seven years there. He will assist the transport team with the preparation of transport assessments and travel plans. He specialises in detailed micro-simulation modelling and GIS accessibility projects and has worked with Highways Agency, Transport for Greater Manchester, Warrington Council, Cheshire East Council among other clients.

David Roberts, director of SCP, said: "These appointments allow us to enhance our range of services to our clients and respond efficiently whilst continuing to provide the highest quality advice and support for our clients."

There are 19 staff in the Manchester office of SCP.
