New senior planner for Peter Brett

Development and infrastructure consultancy Peter Brett Associates has appointed Darren Tweed as a senior planner in its Manchester office.

Tweed joins the practice from Calderdale Council in West Yorkshire, and also previously worked at Pendle Council. During this time Tweed has been involved in various aspects of development plan production covering retail, employment, environmental and residential matters.

In the last few years Tweed has specialised in retail and town centre policy, and has provided expert advice in relation to major planning applications including the production of retail impact assessments and retail capacity studies.

Bernard Greep, director and head of the firm's Manchester office, said: "We have a strong pipeline of work for private and public sector clients and are pleased to welcome Darren to help us deliver these projects."

There are now 16 fee-earners in the Peter Brett Manchester office.
