New Balance Birchwood HQ launched

CBRE has completed the fit-out of British trainer manufacturer New Balance's EMEA headquarters in Appleton House in Birchwood.

New Balance has merged offices in Warrington and Wilmslow into Appleton House, after agreeing a 10-year lease on the 30,666 sq ft building with landlord Aviva earlier this year.

The fit-out includes a 3,000 sq ft New Balance outlet store. CBRE provided full design team services through its architecture and design group, working alongside contractor ADT Workplace.

CBRE said the design reflected the New Balance brand and its origins in Boston, Massachusetts. Industrial materials such as reclaimed flooring, brick and Barn Oak timber were used throughout the space.

Marzia Panizzutti, the CBRE senior project designer for the project, said: "New Balance was a great client for us, giving us the opportunity to create an environment for them that excites and engages people, that looks forward but with a respect for their roots and craft tradition, that embodies their ethos as a sports and fitness product manufacturer."
