Neuro hospital sets up building panel

The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust in Fazakerley, Liverpool, is to establish a construction framework for capital projects.

The trust said it wants to reduce lead times by using an agreed panel of builders and consultants to bid for mini-competitions as work arises.

The Walton Centre is the only stand-alone neurosciences hospital in the country dedicated to caring for people with neurological conditions.

The construction framework will cover three tiers of work: up to £50,000, from £50,000 to £1m, and £1m to £10m. Firms on the contract roster will be in place for four years and deliver all areas of construction, architectural and engineering advice.

A new Framework ?? There already is one called Procure 21 and that will soon be replaced by Procure 21 plus. This Framework is NOT neccessary there already is one I repeat Procure 21. When will clients get on board and stop wasting valuable time.

Not sure why they wouldn’t tap into P21 or P21 ?

Does anyone know the size of their organisation ? From their website, they appear to be a stand-alone organisation located within University Hospital Aintree. I wonder, given their size, if there is scope for any volume of work through this framework ?
