Network Space to spec build at Alchemy following consent
The developer has obtained planning permission for 101,000 sq ft of industrial space at Alchemy, its 30-acre site at Knowsley Business Park, in three units of 22,000 sq ft, 33,000 sq ft and 46,000 sq ft. Network Space intends to develop this space speculatively.
Alchemy is located off the A580 East Lancs Road close to junction 4 of the M57. The first phase also totalled 100,000 sq ft, but comprised smaller units ranging between 6,000 sq ft and 12,000 sq ft and is now fully occupied, with tenants including National Grid, Lombard Shipping, Smiths News, Autex, Northern Print and Greenbridge Technologies.
Cllr Graham Morgan, Knowsley Council’s cabinet member for regeneration and economic development, said: “The Alchemy development is the first of its scale and nature to be developed across the Liverpool city region for a number of years and its position on Knowsley Business Park provides exceptional transport links.
“This development is a further demonstration of the confidence that developers have in choosing Knowsley as a place to invest and do business.”
The site is being marketed by B8 Real Estate and CBRE. Beyond this second phase, there is potential for a further 150,000 sq ft of development at Alchemy.
