National Grid buys Heysham land

The Manchester office of DTZ, acting on behalf of joint LPA receivers, has sold 12.11 acres of land at Heysham in Lancashire.

The former railway sidings off the A683 were purchased by National Grid Electricity Transmission.

DTZ has been retained to sell two further plots of land, totaling 18.44 acres at Middleton Business Park in Heysham. One of the plots benefits from planning for a biomass plant.

Tony O'Keefe, director of DTZ in Manchester, said: "These two plots offer a rare opportunity to secure land less than half a mile from the Port of Heysham which is suitable for traditional industrial uses or the environmental sector."
