Murphy on the move with 16,000 sq ft Pin deal

Global infrastructure specialist Murphy Group has expanded its Golborne office by relocating from an 8,000 sq ft Wigan Road office to a 16,000 sq ft building at Bridge Court in Stonecross Business Park.

The office is one of Murphy’s two North West locations, the other being in Bromborough. It has seven UK offices and four international bases.

Murphy has agreed a five-year lease at Bridge Court with Pin Property, which recently acquired the building and completed fit-out on behalf of clients.

BE Group acted on behalf of Pin Property. Simon Roddam, associate director at BE, said: “We worked closely with our client to ensure they achieved a successful disposal of the Bridge Court property. This letting marks the largest office transaction in the Wigan borough in 2016 and is testament to the turnkey property solutions and capabilities of Pin.”

Imran Younus, commercial and marketing director at Pin Property, added: “Whilst the Bridge Court office is of a modern design and construction, we purchased the building in shell and core condition. When negotiating with Murphy Group, this gave us the ability to offer a bespoke working environment for them in just 10 weeks.”

In 2016, Pin achieved the largest office letting in Warrington for the third year running in letting the 52,000 sq ft Allday House to the Nuclear Decommissioning authority.
