Mulbury hands over homes in Warrington

Affordable housing developer Mulbury Homes has finished the construction of 78 homes in Warrington on behalf of Your Housing Group.

The houses on the site of the former George Howard Scrap Yard in Folly Lane, are being made available for affordable rent by the social landlord.

The £6m development features a mix of two- and three-bedroom mews style homes, as well as one- and two-bedroom apartments to meet a variety of housing needs.

Greg Mulligan, a director of Mulbury Homes, said: "This valuable development provides contemporary, sustainable and energy-efficient housing for local families in an area where demand is high. We worked with Your Housing Group to bring to fruition homes that residents can be really proud of."

Stephen Haigh, executive director of growth and development at Your Housing Group, said: "This development enables us to offer much needed quality homes for affordable rent to local people in Warrington. The range of the properties available allows us to cater for people at different stages of life from single people, young couples and families through to those looking to downsize.

"This scheme is part of the Your Housing Group's £150m affordable homes programme which will deliver nearly 1,400 new homes across the region by the spring."

Manchester-based Harbur Construction started work on the homes in 2013 and the final properties are to be handed over in March.
