MUFC supporters submit clubhouse proposals

An outline planning application has been submitted by Old Trafford Supporters Club to build an eight storey building on land close to Manchester United FC's Old Trafford ground.

The building, to be built on land at the junction of Wharfside Way and Sir Matt Busby Way, will accommodate the Old Trafford Supporters Club and incorporate leisure, retail, media and administration uses including a souvenir shop.

A large complex of industrial buildings previously occupied the proposed site, but the land currently remains disused.

Old Trafford Supporters Club was formed in 2005 as an official supporters branch of Manchester United FC and has about 100 members.
