Mosaic hires from RPS

Mosaic Town Planning has hired Samantha Lee as planner, who joins from RPS’ Birmingham office, alongside the promotion of two members of staff.

Lee joined Mosaic last month after spending a year with RPS in Birmingham, and she has also worked at De Pol Associates.

Along with the addition of Lee, Mosaic has also promoted Leon Armstrong to director and Andrew Jalali to senior planner. Armstrong has been with the business since its inception in 2007 while Jalali joined as a graduate in 2013.

Armstrong will now focus on management and business development while Jalali will take a leading role on some of Mosaic’s larger projects.

The planning consultancy, which specialises in residential development, works with clients including Morris Homes, Persimmon, Bowsall, and MCI Developments. The company has also relocated this year to new offices in Chancery Place.

Director Paul Williams said “Samantha brings technical skills for assessing housing supply and demand and the ability to present her findings with design and mapping software.

“The revised Greater Manchester Spatial Framework is pending, and so now is the time to develop our capabilities in these areas. She will also manage our growing number of industrial and commercial projects, where we are now active from the south coast up to Scotland.”
