Mort to head CBRE office agency

Following the resignation of director Mark Worthington, Neil Mort is joining CBRE in Manchester next month as head of the office agency team.

Mort previously held positions within the office agencies at Knight Frank and Savills until 2006, when he moved to BAM Properties to become a development manager.

In 2013 he established his own company, Affinity Property Consultancy, which provides advice on residential and commercial developments.

Worthington handed in his notice last week in order to establish an office and industrial agency consultancy in Liverpool alongside Mason Owen director Andrew Owen. Worthington is expected to leave in the coming months.

The office agency team at CBRE includes associate director Kirsty Littleford, and senior surveyor Jamie Bottomley. Director Alex Russell left the team last September to join Property Alliance Group, shortly followed by senior surveyor Michelle Rothwell who also moved into a development role at Capital & Centric.

Mort will be working with CBRE's North West instructions which include Airport City, MediaCityUK for Peel, Muse's Stockport Exchange, First Street for Ask, 3 Hardman Square for Credit Suisse and Towers, Didsbury for Moorfield.

John Ogden, managing director of CBRE's North West business, said: "We are delighted that Neil is joining us at such a great time for our business. He will build on the success of the last few years and is one of the very best office agents working in the North West, with a strong track record and established relationships with many of our clients.

"Neil will be leading the North West agency team and working on both landlord and occupier instructions starting in the next few weeks. These are exciting times for CBRE as we continue to strengthen our offer to clients across the board and to safeguard our leading position within the regional marketplace."
